PC (Personal Computer) Basics
In this course students will learn general concepts such as: parts of a computer, overview of computer memory measurements – MB, GB, TB, and how to navigate storage devices – hard drive, CD, memory stick. Then they will learn how to identify parts of a typical window, switch between windows quickly, file management and folder hierarchy, Internet Explorer: Basic browsing principles. They will also learn how to locate programs, access files quickly, find and interpret file properties such as: file size, type, date saved, mouse control: left vs. right click, click and drag, right click and drag, difference between file save and save as, how to create and manage folders, and how to identify the current working folder.
